ANDREW HEITMAN

Mr. Heitman has been involved in the building systems design and construction industry for over twelve years. He began his career by gaining experience and knowledge as a HVAC hydronics equipment sales representative.  Representing products such as pumps, steam/hot water boilers, cooling towers, flow balancing/control valves, and other hydronic accessories enabled him to become a specialist in the area of hydronic HVAC systems.  Having been a partner in two consulting engineering firms as a mechanical engineer he has completed design and construction documentation for projects ranging from small DX split systems to central campus chilled water plants of several thousand ton capacity. Mr. Heitman has completed numerous energy studies and energy conservation projects focusing on reducing the energy consumption of existing building systems .

   

Mr. Heitman is very well suited for energy consulting and commissioning services because of his varied experience with mechanical and electrical building systems of all types and sizes. In addition, much of his career has involved re-engineering many building systems for increased operating efficiency and for the solving of historical operating problems. His clients find his ability to perform detailed theoretical analysis as well as practical on-site problem solving to be an invaluable asset for their facilities operations personnel.

 

In addition to his duties at the company Mr. Heitman has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of West Florida for the past five years. At the University he teaches two junior / senior year courses in mechanical, electrical, plumbing building utility systems in the Four-Year Bachelor of Science in Building Construction degree program. He was also responsible for creating the course content and curricula which was approved by the State University System.
